Ragdoll
Products Pet Animals Pet Cats Ragdoll
A complex breeding program produced the Ragdoll in California(United States) during the 1960's. A white Persian and a seal point Birman mated; the ofspring of this pair was then crossed with a sable Burmese partner. The product was called a Ragdoll, probably because this docile creature became very limp and relaxed when petted.
Ragdolls exist in three distinct color patterns: Seal point, Blue mitted and Seal bicolor. Seal points are a cream color with brown on the body, face, ears, feet and tail. Blue mitteds are cream with blue-gray color on the tail, face, ears, and lower legs with distinct white boots. Seal bicolors mix brown on the upper body with white on the lower body and face.
