Since the age of five, I was actively involved with pets. My father Dr. Muhammed Farooq Khan cultivated my hobby and it was nurtured by my friend Dr.Mamoun Al Shanti, who taught me how to care for animals. My first experience was with a 2 year old bitch called Lilly, which belonged to my Uncle. Lilly was a German Shepherd, who was a friend, a bodyguard and a true companion. As a kid I was frivolous and hyperactive. When I was five, we went to my Uncle’s farmhouse, behind the farmhouse ran a little stream. As kids are I ran into the stream unnoticed, but could not escape the watchful eyes of Lilly. The moment she saw me enter the stream, ran behind me, caught me by my shirt and dragged me out of the stream. My life was saved. Since then my love for animals grew and today exactly after twenty-nine years, I want to thank my friend Lilly, who saved my life.
After this I had experiences with a lot of other animals and had articles written about me in the Times Of India, but the most memorable experience was with Lilly, who taught me that animals too can be your true Companions.
Through this website I would like to pay tribute to my Companions, who saved my life.
It is not my idea to tell stories, but I narrated this incident, just to make people aware that what fabulous Companions animals can be.
It is my humble request to all you lovely people Love Animals, They Can Be Your Best Companions.
